Espace
plastique is the
original
soundtrack of a visual and sound installation realized by DJ Janine
(music), Tamiyo (chant, dance) and Pierre Marly (visuals) in 2009.
« With this installation, the artists question the origin of our social link, our fear/attraction for the Others and our cultural programming in a singular space. Through 3 non-figurative short scenes, DJ Janine orchestrates the discovery of imaginary and familiar elsewheres to lead us towards the inexpressible going beyond the simple mechanical vision of modern art. » DJ Janine (1941) is a veteran of the French Techno scene, idol of Disco and the Rave movement. Tamiyo is a performer/poet originally from Hokkaido, the Japanese island of shamen and spirits of nature. Pierre Marly is a French designer and graphic artist living in Reykjavík (Iceland). ![]() |
Credits

Tamiyo & Laurent Chambon. (3) written by DJ Janine & Laurent
Chambon. All tracks produced by Laurent Chambon (Cherry Juice Recordings NL), mastered by Ferry Verhoeve (Music Trades, NL). Photography by Sandra
& Orquídea (Kraft
Video, NL), sleeve & visuals by Pierre Marly (Dataselected,
IS). Tamiyo « I am curious about human beings and their life, and exploring them through music, dance, researches in social science, daylight & moon light strolls. It was so amazing to work with Janine, Laurent and Pierre, thank you guys for the experience. » Janine « This EP took forever to complete, because Laurent was busy with so many other projects, and Tamiyo was travelling all the time. I know it is not the usual DJ Janine Disco anthems, but I am sure people will dance on it anyway. I brought rhythms and flutes from Pygmees musicians and sounds from the deepest African forests that I have been collecting for ages. My first trip there was just after the independance, can you imagine? Anyway, enjoy! » Contact info (at) cherryjuicerecordings (dot) com ![]() |
